Online SDLT Submission is a success for DPS Clients Print

28th October 2008 - A recent report by HMRC showing SDLT Submission Statistics revealed that DPS Clients’ success rate for submissions has increased by 90%.

The report also showed that the number of submissions made online by DPS clients has increased by 85%. SDLT forms have been available for online submission since 6th April 2005. Since the introduction of online submission, DPS has cut the time their clients take to submit these forms.

DPS updated their Case Management service with new functionality following the announcement that SDLT forms could be submitted online. This included:

  • The ability to print the Stamp Duty Land Tax Return before inserting an 'Effective Date of Transaction' at Question 4 on form SDLT1.
  • An amendment to Question 2 on the SDLT1 form, which added an additional value 'A' to cover any conveyance transfer with lease involvement. • Addition of the new version of SDLT4.
  • An amendment to Question 2 on SDLT4, which is now a drop down box to allow multiple selections.
  • A 2-Dimensional Barcode which captures all entries from the form and allows it to be scanned, allowing the form to be processed quickly and efficiently.

DPS was founded in its first form in 1984, by Managing Director Osman Ismail. The company provided and developed bespoke business management solutions to the general market before a growing client base within the legal market had determined their subsequent specialisation into this sector.

Outlook Office from DPS Software is a completely new case and matter management system that can operate entirely within Outlook™ as a fully integrated component. This versatile software combines case management, phone, digital dictation, and web and text messaging with a full power document assembly engine that allows emails, letters and documents to be assembled against cases quickly and easily.
