Grundig launch world first with wireless mic Print

London, October 2008 - Grundig Business Systems has announced the formal launch to market of the world’s first wireless USB dictation microphone for professional users. The DigtaCordEx will combine all the benefits of desktop dictation with the flexibility of a mobile dictation device.

Unencumbered by wires, users will now have the freedom to move around while dictating, with effortless control of the dictation and PC applications afforded by the four-step slide switch and function buttons.

Users can move anywhere within an eight meter radius of the docking station, with the microphone’s colour display showing the current dictation and operational status as well as the menu functions; the user can access the latter to change the settings at any time.

If the user moves out of range, the DigtaCordEx gives a visual and audible warning, while simultaneously saving the dictation in the temporary memory. The versatile device has the company’s hallmark blend of aesthetics and ergonomics - the stylish design and intuitive slide switch make for easy, comfortable dictation; while recording time is almost limitless with the extra battery that is available.

The multi-functional docking station is connected to the PC via USB and serves as the data interface to the PC; as the base transceiver; and as the battery charger for the microphone and the spare battery. For hands-free dictation an optional foot pedal can be connected to control the recording functions.

The Digta CordEx retails for 344 GBP (ex VAT) and is available now. As a special promotion until December 31, the price for the device with DigtaSoft Pro is the same as with DigtaSoft.
