New law firm – The Contracts Team – sets out to break the traditional commercial law firm model Print

Innovative new law firm, The Contracts Team, based in Birmingham, is set to break the traditional commercial law firm model by specialising in providing streamlined, quality-controlled, semi-automated B2B contract solutions.  Through its use of The Contracts Delta, the firm is able to produce tailored B2B contracts more efficiently, at lower costs and with minimum reliance on the use of qualified lawyers.

Director and solicitor, Charles Drayson said: “We want to be a catalyst for change, used and trusted by progressive mid-sized and large corporate organisations who want business-focused contracts that cost them less, give them greater control and provide them with better risk management.  By using The Contracts Delta, we apply business process outsourcing methodology to the provision of legal services.  This allows us to produce complex contracts in real time without recurring professional legal input.

“In the current economic climate, organisations are going to scrutinise their legal costs and we can ensure that organisations with frequent commercial contracts achieve considerable savings within the same budget year.  The attraction of tailored business contracts produced more quickly and at lower cost, has to be compelling, especially when it allows organisations to contract with each other more effectively and with less fuss.”

The Contracts Delta works intuitively and will enable, for example, a non-lawyer to produce a commercial contract in 12 minutes that ordinarily would take a solicitor five hours to perform.

The Contracts Team is headed up by founder Charles Drayson and includes solicitors Justine Lowe and Sarah Sheehan plus paralegal consultant David Chong Ping.  Besides creating B2B contracts, The Contracts Team also manages B2B contracts throughout their entire lifecycle, trains non-lawyers and offers a fully-outsourced service.
