Information security is top priority for Bond Pearce Print

Losing data is a business or government’s worst nightmare - from stolen laptops to files that go missing in the post we’re all well aware of the damaging repercussions this can have. For Bond Pearce, as a business law firm, information is critical for everything it does - knowledge and advice is what the firm provides for its clients.

As trusted advisers to businesses and government organisations, Bond Pearce wanted to demonstrate that information security is a top priority. Over the last two years the firm has worked towards, and has now been awarded, ISO27001 accreditation. This is the international standard for information security management and Bond Pearce is currently the only law firm in the country to have achieved full certification across its entire business.

David Coates, IT Director at Bond Pearce, comments: “This achievement is a fantastic way of demonstrating to our staff and clients that we take information security very seriously. We know this issue is paramount to our clients as many of the larger businesses we work with have the certification themselves and it is increasingly stated as a requirement for all professional service providers, particularly in the public sector and financial services arena.”

The ISO27001 industry standard, which supersedes the older BS7799, also makes Bond Pearce compliant with the Law Society Information Security Guidelines.
