Strategic Management Restructure at Copitrak Print

Copitrak Systems’ chairman Nicholas Child is to take up the newly created role of global managing director in January following the departure of UK managing director Stewart Hadley.

The cost recovery company is the European and Asian arm of Copitrak Worldwide, which also covers Canada and North America under different management.

Copitrak Systems does not intend to replace Hadley, leaving Child as the only senior manager for the entire European and Asian business. However Child told Legal Technology Journal: “We are not a big company and between our three operations there are only about 20 people so I don’t think we need to have all these chiefs and are consolidating what we are doing.”

According to Child, one objective of the consolidation is to work more closely with the North American and Canadian offices.

“It’s a question of applying the same procedure throughout,” he said.

Child took over from his father as chairman just over two years ago. During that period he has also been acting as managing director of the French office.

Copitrak Systems, which financial year end is in January, had a difficult start to the year but activity in the last six months is expected to see the company hit, or slightly exceed, its targeted revenue.
