Inpractice and PCC merge Print
Written by Caroline Grimshaw

Legal consultants Inpractice and Professional Choice Consultancy (PCC) have merged, it was announced this week, in a bid to offer a more specialist service to the market.

Former Axxia Systems sales director Bill Kirby, who set up PCC in 2006, has joined Allan Carton of Inpractice and together they have signed up seven consultants to advise on various aspects of law firm business and strategy. The new entity will retain the Inpractice name.

Kirby told Legal Technology Journal: “I like the fact that we’ve got the individuals and most work requires specialist skills.

“As a generalist you can’t do anything, you need a range of skills to get anything done.”

Both companies targeted law firms of 75 or more fee-earners and Inpractice, the longer-established of the two, counts a number of top 100 firms as clients.

Before entering into a full merger the pair launched professional services outsourcing venture Managed Services Consultancy in September last year.
Kirby said: “We’ve proved that we can work together and we have also done a fair few trials working together as Inpractice or PCC.”

As reported by Legal Technology Journal this week, Inpractice recently advised leading Worcester solicitors Thursfields on a competitive tender process, under which the firm selected SOS Connect software to improve its time capture. Click here to read the article.
