LexisNexis has made two further senior management appointments to manage the business stemming from acquired companies Axxia and Visualfiles. Peter Dye joins LexisNexis’ practice and productivity management group as commercial director for the corporate and public sector. He was formerly at multinational computer software corporation CA Inc, where he was director of product management. Axxia’s former development director Bob Hadingham, meanwhile, has taken on the role of commercial director for large law firms within the group. At the same time as Cheadle’s appointment, it was announced that Doug McLachlan, former marketing director of Axxia, had taken on the role as commercial director and product champion to lead the company’s UK mid law segment. Cheadle told Legal Technology Journal: “The point of this is to better gather market representation with a very dedicated focus on individual segments. “We will be doing research around current and future requirements to get those requirements built into the software.” According to Cheadle, Axxia and Visualfiles’ businesses are now fully integrated with LexisNexis and one sales team now operates instead of two. While the higher profile commercial director roles have been filled from within Axxia, the director of finance, Steve Dobson, is formerly of Visualfiles, as are a number of the sales and professional services team. |
