Digital dictation supplier nFlow has won City practice Devonshires as a client after the law firm selected its version 5.0 Microsoft .NET based system following a beauty parade. The contract was awarded at the end of last year and nFlow’s latest system, which was released in October last year, has now been fully implemented for 120 users at the firm. Devonshires has also installed nFlow Mobile for BlackBerry application to facilitate remote working and offer employees greater flexibility. Once installed, version 5.0 does not require technical ability to administer or keep up to date, meaning potentially lower overheads for clients. Sales and marketing director for nFlow, Rob Lancashire said that the company was encouraged by the interest it is continuing to see despite current economic conditions, commenting: “The difference with this product is that it is more advanced because it was not migrated across from old code but built up from scratch on .NET. “As people look to save costs it is a product that can be dealt with by facilities.” It brings the total number of clients using version 5.0 to 12. Lincoln’s Inn based law firm Hunters also recently signed up to the product and last year saw nFlow win top 25 UK accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael as a new client. Elsewhere Aderant has won 120 attorney Boston-based law firm Burns & Levinson as a new client of Aderant Expert. Over the last ten months the firm has implemented core applications for time and billing and financial management, as well as business development, business intelligence and performance management capabilities. Burns & Levinson chief financial officer Marybeth Celorier said: “Our implementation of Aderant Expert is by far the most successful conversion of a practice management system with which I’ve ever been associated.” |
