Briefing paper helps law firms engage with IP telephony Print
Written by Jeremy Hill
Data, network and telephony management specialist InTechnology has produced a briefing paper for law firms keen to know more about IP telephony.

‘Convergence:  The future of communications” explores why IP telephony should be moving quickly up the IT agenda; scopes out the landscape of converged IP communications; compares the merits of in-house vs hosted solutions; offers practical advice on finding an IP telephony provider; and sets out its own credentials together with the features and benefits of the Unity IP Voice solution.

The briefing paper is available as a free download from http://www.intechnology.co.uk/Documents/whitepapers/IP-Telephony-briefing-paper.pdf

Richard Quine, director of product management, says that now is a good time to make serious investigation into what converged communication has to offer: “There is general acknowledgement that IP telephony’s momentum is unstoppable and inevitable as the industry takes advantage of faster networks and connectivity to bring voice and data together.

However, pretty much everything about IP telephony is different from traditional telecoms, so you need to be informed and prepared for the change over. The briefing paper is designed as a wide-ranging introduction to the subject and one that we hope will be invaluable in helping firms make informed decisions moving forward.”
